Bilt Card 2.0: Rewards for Rent, Mortgages, and Everyday Spend
Bilt has officially launched Bilt Card 2.0, expanding its ecosystem to include mortgage payments and introducing a tiered card lineup. The Housing Rewards Mechanic
Rent and mortgage payments still have no transaction fees, but they do not earn points directly. Instead, you use Bilt Cash earned from everyday spending to "unlock" points on your housing.
Conversion: Every $30 in Bilt Cash earned unlocks 1,000 Bilt Points on your rent or mortgage payment.
Limit: You can unlock up to 1 point per $1 of your housing payment.
Alternative: A "Max Points" option allows you to earn 1 point per $1 for a 3% transaction fee (which Bilt Cash can offset).
The Bilt Cash Ecosystem
Beyond housing, Bilt Cash is a flexible currency earned at a 4% rate on everyday spend. While housing payments no longer earn points automatically, Bilt Cash serves as the primary engine for ecosystem benefits.
Direct Redemptions: Spend Bilt Cash dollar-for-dollar on monthly credits for restaurants, hotels, and rideshares.
Platform Utility: Use it to access exclusive transfer bonuses, unlock housing-specific rewards, or pay for transaction fees if you choose the "Max Points" housing payment option.
Premium Benefits and Credits
The Obsidian and Palladium tiers include semi-annual hotel credits for bookings of 2+ nights made through the Bilt Travel Portal.
Obsidian: $50 credit available Jan–June; $50 available July–Dec.
Palladium: $200 credit available Jan–June; $200 available July–Dec.
Travel Protections: Premium cards include Trip Delay Insurance, purchase protection, and no foreign transaction fees.
