How To Qualify

Checking: Open Totally Free Checking in a branch with $50. Within 90 days, receive two qualifying direct deposits totaling at least $500, enroll in eStatements, and make 20 debit card purchases; Zelle and external bank-to-bank ACH transfers do not qualify. Optional savings: Open a new AB&T Savings account with $50 during the promotion, enroll in Save Your Change by October 31, and enroll in eStatements within 30 days of opening. Save Your Change requires checking and debit card transactions.

Monthly Fee Details

Totally Free Checking has no monthly fee. Savings charges $5 if the daily balance falls below $100 on any day in the earnings cycle. Closing either account within 90 days incurs a $25 early-closure fee for that account.

Early Account Closure Fee

If the account is closed by the customer within 90 days after opening, the account will be subject to a $25 early closure fee.
